When I planned my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, I expected stunning coral reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But I saw something on the Amadive dive list: **A Shipwreck Dive**. My heart jumped. This was more than a typical dive; this was journey into history.

I'll admit, I felt nervous. Diving a wreck requires extra care. But the crew at **Amadive Con Dao Dive Center** were absolutely professional. The Divemasters gave us a very thorough safety briefing. We discussed our safety procedures, the history of the sunken ship, and what to expect down there. The fact we were in a small group instantly made click here me feel confident.

Descending was surreal. First, it was just a dark shape in the blue, and then the wreck came into view. It was huge. The ship is now a thriving artificial reef, draped in corals and teeming with marine life. We saw giant groupers hiding from the cargo hold, and schools of fusiliers patrolling the cracks. The feeling of gliding next to this giant, silent vessel was hard to describe—haunting, beautiful, and humbling at the same time. It truly is a piece of history under the water.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) coming to Con Dao and looking for an adventure beyond the usual reef dive, I cannot urge you this **dive** enough. It was the unforgettable highlight of my Vietnam trip. A massive shout-out to the **Amadive** crew for their expertise and for making this unforgettable experience so memorable.
